Miscellaneous Digital Works

As I’ve been digging through my files, I have found several digital pieces that don’t belong in any one project. So this gallery will feature illustrations that I would like to host here.

I started drawing when I was very young and recall many times I would get into trouble in class for drawing during lessons and lots of parent teacher conferences. I talk about this very plainly today, but at the time I was so overwhelmed how often I would have to defend myself around wanting to make art and draw things. Granted I understand that a lot of the time it was coming from a place of concern, but hindsight is 20/20 now.

I took a lot of influence from cartoons, anime, and videogames and was extremely invested in understanding illustration. Constantly reading through game guides, manga, and living online in spaces like Gaia Online and Tegaki. I learned that the more you worked on the things you liked about an art style and practiced emulating the artists that you enjoyed, eventually you would see those stylistic choices in your own work.

It has been refreshing to revisit my older illustrations and wanted to include them here.
